Research Assistant position

As part of an effort to assess the readiness of Michigan non-profits for services provided by ASPs and the like, ACT and CREW have received seed funding from the Mott Foundation to survey the 480 organizations in the Council of Michigan Foundations.

As part of this effort we will have funding for a .5 graduate research assistantship during the fall term. Duties will include the design of a Web-administered survey instrument, configuration of a server machine for the survey, administration of the survey, processing of the response data, and preparation of data tables and charts for a final report in December.

Critical relevant skills: HTML, javascripting, FileMaker, Window.s Desirable skills: Excel, SPSS (basic knowledge, e.g., can produce cross tabulations).

Start date: September 1 (or earlier if available).

There is a strong probability of continuation into the spring term as part of a more in-depth analysis of an ongoing ASP pilot project being conducted among Michigan non-profits.
