education. Matthew BietzMatthew Bietz just received his MSI from the School of Information
at the Universty of Michigan, and will be entering the Ph.D. program
in the fall. His academic interests include Human Computer Interaction
and Organizational Studies. Jeremy BirnholtzJeremy just completed his first year in the Masters program at the School of Information at the University of Michigan. His current academic interests lie somewhere in the realm of the relationships between organizational behavior/design and information technology system design. Kelly GarrettKelly holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from Virginia Tech, and is working toward a Ph.D. at the University of Michigan's School of Information. Erik HoferErik is currently pursuing an MSI at the School of Information. His
research interests include distance collaboration, information sharing
in networks, and small interface design. Hyun Joon KimHyun Joon Kim received his Master of Public Administration and BA of Sociology from Seoul Nat'l University in Korea. After graduation in 1996, he had served for the Rep. of Korea Airforce as a first lieutenant. Now, he studies pulbic policy with focus on information and telecommunication policies at the Univ. of Michigan's Gereald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Jennifer PerkinsJennifer is a PhD student at the University of Michigan's School of Information. She also received a MS from the same school. Nathaniel PoorNathaniel Poor is a Ph.D. student in Communication Studies, where he
focuses on the Internet and social issues. Previously he has been a
webmaster at a small environmental education non-profit and has worked
for Ziff-Davis. Joel SantodomingoJoel Santodomingo earned his undergraduate degree in Information and Decision Systems with an additional major in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University. As a second year Masters student at the School of Information, his interests include community technology and decision support systems. Vishant ShahNo biographical information available. Brian SpolarichGraduated 1995 from the University of Michigan Residential College
where I studied music and theatre. Worked 1991-1995 as a consultant
for the U-M Information Technology Division where I was involved in
early WWW activities and development of web-based applications. Joined
Gale Research in 1995 where I developed and implemented GaleNet, which
is in use by hundreds of libraries and other institutions around the
country. Joined ANS Communications (now UUNET Technologies, part of
MCI WorldCom) in 1995 where I have been involveed in various aspects
of deployment, support, and management of the Internet and Internet-based
applications and systems. Enrolled in January, 2000 in U-M School of
Information where I am purusing an advanced degree in Information Economics,
Management, and Policy.
