    • Held March 8-12, 2005 on Kauai Island, Hawaii
    • In conjunction with the Third IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom'05)
    • The workshop aims to address technical and pedagogical issues of pervasive learning, teaching and working. Topics of interest are all aspects of pervasive eLearning, including:
      1. mobile communication (asynchronous, synchronous),
      2. service and session mobility as well as device independency,
      3. techniques for cooperative learning or working,
      4. document, knowledge, and service management,
      5. realization of pervasive eLearning scenarios,
      6. best practice studies and experiences,
      7. mark-up languages and frameworks for eLearning,
      8. tools and and architectures for mobile/ubiquitous eLearning,
      9. smart devices and device-independent presentation,
      10. security and integrity in wireless environments,
      11. eLearning networks,
      12. models of pervasive eLearning (e.g. cooperative learning, structured blended learning)
  • Multimedia in Business and Education
    • 5th International Conference
    • Held March 15-17, 2005 in Częstochowa, Poland
    • The aim of the conference is to present widely understood multimedia technology improving both education process managing and economic operations. Two currents of presentation of achievements will be conducted during the conference: research and business ones.
    • Research current includes seven thematic sessions: 1. Multimedia For Management of Enterprises; 2. Multimedia in Telecommunications; 3. Electronic Commerce; 4. Prognosis and Symulations; 5. Knowledge Management; 6. Multimedia in Teaching; 7. Multimedia Information Technologies
    • Within business current leading companies will present application of multimedia systems as well as integrated information systems designed for companies, universities and individual customers. One of the essential tasks of the conference will be videoconferences with research centers in Poland and abroad.

    • SID 2005 is the fourth workshop on the subject of social intelligence design focused on the impact and significance of information technology in our lives, work, home, and on the move. In this workshop we consider Social Intelligence (SI) as the ability for people to relate to, understand and interact effectively with others. The central question is how SI is mediated through the use of emerging technologies
    • Main themes of SID 2005: 1. Natural Interactions; 2. Communities; 3. Collaboration; 4. Multidisciplinary Perspectives; 5. Application Domains.
