The World Congress on Networked Learning in a Global Environment, with the theme: "Challenges and Solutions for Virtual Education" was held in Berlin, May 1-4, 2002, and attracted researchers from many countries, including South Africa, Singapore, USA, Japan, and Australia. In separate sessions, Derrick Cogburn, Ph.D., and Vlad Wielbut reported on two ACT-sponsored experiments in delivering highly interactive learning to students around the world through the Internet and videoconferencing.
